The Berkshire is to host its first-ever fun dog show following the final of the John Prestwich Challenge Trophy this month.
Held in aid of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, the event will take place on 14 June and will be open to all humans and canines.
Categories will include Waggiest Tail, ‘Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home’, Best Outfit, and Scruffiest or Fluffiest, as well as a ‘Musical Sit’ competition.
Tickets to attend for the day, including the final of the John Prestwich Challenge Trophy, are free (with a donation encouraged!) while entry into the dog show is £5 per dog per class. All funds raised will go towards the work Battersea does to support animals in need of a home.
RCBPC members can also donate £50 to take part in judging a class and can request to judge a specific class, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Nell Jacob, polo manager at RCBPC, said: “The Berkshire team and our members are of course all passionate animal lovers, many of whom have their own dogs, so we wanted to put on an event that included and celebrated our human and canine friends. And given that Battersea has an animal shelter based in Old Windsor, just 15 minutes from the club, we thought this would be a fantastic and fun way to support a charity in our local community.”
